How It Works

AI assists. Accountable professionals decide.

MandateAI is built around one operating principle, applied consistently across every layer of the platform: artificial intelligence never makes a regulated decision alone. Here is exactly how that works, end to end.

Step One
Every pattern is tested against real enforcement history.

Before any regulatory pattern informs a live answer, it is checked against real historical outcomes — actual enforcement actions, rulings, and guidance already on the public record. An AI opinion is formed using only information that existed at the time, then compared against everything published since.

  • 01Replay. Historical regulatory material is replayed as if it were being encountered for the first time, with no hindsight.
  • 02Verification. A dedicated agent actively searches for contradicting guidance or later enforcement — it is never asked to simply confirm the original opinion.
  • 03Distillation. Once enough validated cases accumulate on a pattern, they are synthesized into one durable, citable institutional principle.
Step Two
The moment it's real, a human decides.

Historical validation runs autonomously because it involves no live client and no real-time decision. The moment a question actually affects a real client, that changes completely. MandateAI's deterministic rules engine and its AI each form an independent view — and a qualified compliance professional always makes the final call.

  • Every disagreement is reviewed. When the rules engine and the AI reach different conclusions, it is queued for a human to adjudicate — never resolved automatically.
  • Every new pattern is reviewed. The first time a regulation, jurisdiction, or client profile appears, it is surfaced for review rather than assumed safe.
  • Nothing autonomous, ever. No live client decision is ever finalized by AI alone, regardless of how confident the model is.

Every answer is generated in the context of global institutional precedent, jurisdictional precedent, firm precedent, and client-specific operational history — never in isolation.

Step Three
Every validated decision becomes reusable knowledge.

MandateAI recalls prior validated reasoning before it answers, at four levels — the global body of validated precedent, precedent specific to a jurisdiction, patterns observed across a consultancy's own client base, and the operational history of the specific client being served. Nothing is repeated blindly: precedent is presented as context to weigh, not an answer to echo.

Step Four
The asset is measured, not just claimed.

MandateAI tracks its own accumulated intelligence directly — how much has been analysed, how much has been validated, how consistent and confident that validation is, and how quickly it is compounding. Today that stands at 20+ regulatory decisions validated against historical enforcement outcomes, and growing with every pattern the platform encounters.

Governance
Deliberate boundaries, not accidents.

These controls are central to how MandateAI works, not ancillary safeguards added afterward.

No autonomous regulated adviceOutputs remain decision-support material until reviewed by a qualified, authorized professional.
Authoritative source hierarchyOfficial regulatory sources are distinguished from secondary commentary, with provenance retained.
Defined validation rightsOnly designated, qualified roles may approve applicability conclusions or formal reports.
Traceable change historyMaterial edits, approvals, and corrections are recorded with who, when, and why.
Client and data segregationEach client operates within a logically segregated workspace with controlled access.
Escalation and overrideProfessionals may reject any output, document an exception, and escalate uncertain matters.
